According to the UNODC, women make up only 6% to 20% of law enforcement across the region. For instance, only 8% of police officers and 30% of judges are women. While there are efforts to promote women to leadership positions, representation still remains low in the ASEAN region.

This webinar unpacked challenges and barriers to increasing representation and good practices to support women’s advancement in the field of counter-trafficking. An expert panel also reflected on how increasing women’s leadership in counter-trafficking may lead to improved justice outcomes.
