The Action to the Community Development Center (ACDC) is a Vietnamese non-governmental organization (NGO) and organization of persons with disabilities (OPD), established in 2011 and led by and for persons with disabilities. It works in the areas of policy advocacy, accessibility, social inclusion, child protection, and the provision of free legal aid, while implementing community-based projects in several provinces. ACDC is a key actor in promoting equality and improving the quality of life for persons with disabilities and other vulnerable groups in Viet Nam.

Blue Dragon Children’s Foundation is a Vietnam-based NGO dedicated to ending human trafficking and protecting children and young people in crisis. The organization rescues survivors of trafficking, exploitation, homelessness, and abuse, while providing comprehensive support including shelter, family reunification, education, psychosocial care, legal assistance, and livelihood opportunities. Through its integrated approach of direct services, community-based prevention, and policy advocacy, Blue Dragon works to address the root causes of trafficking and create lasting systemic change to protect vulnerable children and communities across Vietnam.

The British Embassy in Vietnam endeavours to combat human trafficking and irregular migration by raising public awareness, organizing communication campaigns, workshops, and forums to share international experiences. The Embassy also promotes multilateral cooperation with United Nations agencies, the government, and civil society organizations to develop policies, support victims, and enhance prevention measures. In addition, it works with international organizations to encourage responsible recruitment and labor practices among businesses in Vietnam, thereby helping to prevent forced labor and protect human rights.

The Bureau for Press is responsible for promoting and enhancing public awareness of trafficking in persons (TIP).

CARE Vietnam has a strong focus on the poorest and most isolated women from ethnic minorities as well as socially marginalised groups living in the urban areas, such as sex workers, female migrants, and female factory workers. It works on: access to income; female leadership and participation, preventing GBV.

Center for Development and Integration (CDI Vietnam) is a non-governmental, non-profit organization of Vietnam established in 2005, working for the rights of disadvantaged groups to build a just, united society and sustainable development. CDI Vietnam promote good socio-economic development, good governance, and the creation of a society in which the poor, women, men, girls and boys are respect and fair treatment in the context of rapid economic integration in Vietnam and Asia.

The Center for Research & Application of Science on Gender, Family, Women and Adolescents (CSAGA) is a private science and technology organization working to support and inspire women and girls toward happy lives free from gender-based violence.

Its strengths lie in communication, integrating art into development, and collaborating with various partners to support women and girls affected by gender-based discrimination and violence.

The Center for Women and Development (CWD) is an institution directly under the Vietnam Women’s Union (VWU), supporting women’s comprehensive development through social support services, capacity building, vocational and livelihood support, entrepreneurship assistance and community activities.

In relation to human trafficking, Chich provides free, comprehensive and emergency support and safe accommodation for women and children affected by gender-based violence and human trafficking. Its services include counselling, psychosocial and legal support, emergency assistance, and support for recovery and safe, sustainable reintegration. CWD also operates a hotline and coordinates with relevant agencies and service providers to support trafficking survivors.

CWD supports the political and social activities of the Vietnam Women’s Union. It runs three shelters for female victims of domestic violence and trafficking – two in Hanoi known as ‘Peace House’, and one in Can Tho. The shelters also offer a follow-up program after 20 months to provide counselling, vocational training and legal aid.

Provincial and local police forces play an operational role in preventing and combating human trafficking under the direction of the Ministry of Public Security. Their functions include receiving reports of suspected trafficking, initiating and supporting victim verification, preventing and detecting trafficking offences, investigating trafficking cases, coordinating with relevant authorities, and supporting the protection and referral of victims and persons undergoing victim identification.

At the provincial level, the Police have a specific statutory role in the formal identification of trafficking victims. Under the Law on Prevention and Combat of Human Trafficking and Decree No. 162/2025/NĐ-CP, Provincial Police conduct the verification and determination of victim status and issue the relevant certificate where the legal requirements are met. Police at local levels contribute to the initial reporting, prevention, detection and referral process and coordinate with competent authorities in responding to trafficking cases.

The Department of Criminal and Administrative Law and Administrative Violation Management is a unit under the Ministry of Justice. It is responsible for advising and assisting the Minister in law-making; participating in the development, provision of comments on, and appraisal of policies, projects and draft legal normative documents in the fields of criminal law, administrative law, state organisational structure, public service and administrative violation management; exercising state management over and organising the implementation of laws on administrative violation management; conducting inspections and specialised inspections in areas under the Ministry of Justice’s state management, as decentralised, authorised or assigned by the Minister; imposing administrative sanctions in certain specialised areas under the Ministry of Justice’s management; and organising the implementation of legislation on access to information in accordance with the law.

The Department of Foreign Relations is the Ministry of Public Security’s specialised unit responsible for foreign relations and international cooperation in the People’s Public Security force. Its functions include advising on and coordinating international cooperation, developing and negotiating international treaties and cooperation agreements, supporting bilateral and multilateral cooperation, and guiding police units and local police in implementing international cooperation activities.

In relation to human trafficking, the Department facilitates international cooperation on the prevention and combating of trafficking in persons, including bilateral and multilateral cooperation, information and experience sharing, coordination with foreign law-enforcement and relevant international partners, and cooperation on transnational trafficking cases. It has also supported and coordinated international cooperation related to victim return and the prevention, investigation and combating of trafficking offences.

The Department of Immigration, under the Ministry of Public Security, is responsible for state management and implementation of immigration-related functions, including the management of entry into and exit from Viet Nam, immigration procedures and documentation, and related information and verification. The Department provides immigration-related public services and coordinates with relevant domestic and foreign authorities in matters within its mandate.

In relation to human trafficking, the Department has a specific role in the reception and verification of Vietnamese trafficking victims returning from abroad. Under Decree No. 162/2025/NĐ-CP, where a person returning from abroad does not have immigration documents, the Vietnamese representative mission may send the person’s information and supporting documents to the Department of Immigration for identity verification. The Department therefore contributes to victim return processes through identity verification and coordination with relevant authorities.

The Department of International Cooperation is a unit under the Ministry of Home Affairs, responsible for advising and assisting the Minister of Home Affairs in the unified management of international cooperation and international integration in the areas under the Ministry’s state management.

The Department of Legal Dissemination, Education and Legal Aid is a unit under the Ministry of Justice, responsible for advising and assisting the Minister of Justice in state management and the implementation of laws on legal dissemination and education; legal aid; grassroots mediation; assessment and recognition of communes, wards and special administrative zones that meet legal access standards; and management of the press, publishing and communications activities of the Ministry and the sector in accordance with the law.

The Department of Maternal and Children’s Affairs under the Ministry of Health is a specialised department under the Ministry of Health responsible for state management and implementation of policies and programs relating to maternal and child health, child protection and the care and comprehensive development of children. Its functions include developing policies and professional guidance, preventing and responding to child abuse, supporting children in special circumstances, coordinating child-protection services, and managing the National Child Protection Hotline (111).

Since July 2025, the National Hotline 111 has also served as the National Hotline for the Prevention and Combat of Human Trafficking under Decree No. 162/2025/NĐ-CP. The Department of Maternal and Children’s Affairs monitors and reports on the operation of the human trafficking hotline as part of its responsibilities.

The Department of Social Welfare under the Ministry of Health is responsible for state management of social welfare, social assistance and social protection. In relation to human trafficking, it develops and implements policies and support measures for trafficking victims and coordinates the provision of assistance, counselling and social support. Its work includes facilitating access to legally mandated support and supporting the reintegration of trafficking victims into the community, in coordination with relevant authorities and service providers.

The Department of Youth Affairs and Gender Equality is a unit under the Ministry of Home Affairs. It advises and assists the Minister of Home Affairs in exercising state management over youth affairs; gender equality and women’s affairs; mass mobilisation; and the implementation of grassroots democracy.

Hagar International is an international non-governmental organization dedicated to restoring life and dignity to survivors of human trafficking, slavery, and abuse. Operating across the Asia-Pacific region through local teams and implementing partners, Hagar provides comprehensive, survivor-centred support to women, children, and other vulnerable individuals affected by exploitation.

In ASEAN, Hagar is particularly active in Cambodia, Vietnam, Thailand, Myanmar, and regional initiatives addressing online exploitation, trafficking in persons (TIP), gender-based violence, and child protection. Through its integrated approach, Hagar contributes to strengthening survivor recovery, reducing re-trafficking risks, enhancing investigation and prosecution, promoting sustainable reintegration and empowering survivor leaders.

The Hanoi Procuratorate University delivers specialized training on trafficking in persons (TIP) for prosecutors and procuratorate students.

The Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union (HCYU) is a socio-political organisation of Vietnamese youth and a member of Viet Nam’s political system. It represents, cares for and protects the legitimate rights and interests of young people; mobilises and organises youth participation in social and community activities; and promotes young people’s development, civic awareness, education, skills and engagement in national development. The HCYU also serves as a political core in youth movements and youth organisations in Viet Nam and maintains cooperation with youth organisations internationally.

In relation to human trafficking, the HCYU is relevant primarily to prevention and awareness-raising among young people, community mobilisation and youth engagement, particularly in addressing risks affecting young people and promoting safe migration and awareness of trafficking.

ICS empowers the LGBTI community in Vietnam to speak up and advocate for their human rights.through various activities such as training, organizing seminars and events, providing advisory services.

The International Labour Organization (ILO) in Viet Nam is a United Nations specialized agency that promotes decent work, labour rights, and social justice. It plays a key role in preventing trafficking in persons (TIP), particularly for labour exploitation and forced labour, by supporting the Government and social partners in strengthening legal frameworks, labour inspection systems, and victim protection mechanisms. The ILO also works to raise awareness, build capacity of stakeholders, and promote responsible business conduct and due diligence to reduce risks of forced labour and human trafficking in supply chains.

ISEE promotes the rights of minority groups (including LGBTIQ, ethnic minorities) in Vietnam.

The International Organization for Migration (IOM) in Viet Nam is the leading United Nations agency on migration, working to promote safe, orderly, and regular migration. IOM supports the Government and partners in preventing trafficking in persons (TIP), protecting vulnerable migrants, and addressing the risks of labour exploitation and irregular migration.

It implements programmes on migrant protection and assistance, counter-trafficking, and reintegration support for trafficking victims and vulnerable migrants. IOM also strengthens border management, enhances capacity of law enforcement and frontline officials, and promotes inter-agency cooperation. In addition, it conducts awareness-raising, research, and community-based interventions to reduce vulnerabilities and improve safe migration practices.

The Ministry of Health (MOH) is responsible for state management of health, social protection and prevention and control of social vices within its assigned mandate. In relation to human trafficking, the MOH provides policy and professional guidance and coordinates the provision of health, psychological and social protection support to victims and persons undergoing victim identification. Through the provincial health system and social assistance/victim support facilities, it supports needs assessment, medical and psychological care, accommodation and other assistance, as well as support for victims returning to their place of residence/reintegrate into community. The MOH also coordinates the implementation of victim-support policies and related data and reporting mechanisms.

The Ministry of Justice is a Government agency responsible for state management of: law-making; organisation of law enforcement; civil judgment enforcement; judicial administration; judicial support; legal affairs; administrative procedure control; and the management of public non-business services in the areas falling within the Ministry’s state management.

The Ministry of Public Security (MPS) is the Government agency responsible for state management of public security and social order and safety, and the People’s Public Security Forces play a core role in preventing and combating crime and violations of law. The MPS is also responsible for criminal investigation and suppression, criminal statistics, population and residence management, immigration management, cybersecurity and international cooperation in crime prevention and control.

In the prevention and combat of human trafficking, the MPS is the agency responsible for assisting the Government in carrying out state management of human trafficking prevention and combat. Under Article 50 of the Law on Prevention and Combat of Human Trafficking No. 53/2024/QH15, the MPS is responsible for developing or proposing policies and legislation; coordinating the implementation of policies and legislation with relevant ministries, sectors and provincial-level authorities; providing information, communication and legal education; coordinating training and capacity building; conducting inspections; maintaining statistics and reporting; and undertaking international cooperation on human trafficking prevention and combat.
The MPS is also responsible for organizing and deploying police forces to directly undertake or coordinate human trafficking prevention and combat activities; managing security and public order to prevent human trafficking; directing police forces at all levels in implementing their responsibilities under the Law; mobilizing public participation in preventing, detecting and combating human trafficking offences; and applying information technology in human trafficking prevention and combat in connection with national population, identity and other specialized databases.

The Border Guard Force is a specialised component of the Vietnam People’s Army responsible for managing and protecting national sovereignty, territorial integrity, security and order in border areas, at border gates and in maritime areas. In relation to human trafficking, the Border Guard contributes to the prevention and detection of trafficking and other cross-border crimes through border management and entry/exit control, law enforcement and coordination with relevant authorities and neighbouring countries’ border forces. It also supports public awareness and mobilisation in border communities and maintains border cooperation with neighbouring countries.

Organisation of Persons with Disabilities in Can Tho city (CAPD) is an organisation of persons with disabilities in Can Tho city. It works to empower persons with disabilities in the Mekong Delta through skills development, rights awareness, advocacy, and social inclusion.

Organisation of Persons with Disabilities in Hanoi (DP Hanoi) is an organisation of persons with disabilities in Hanoi city. It works to advocate for disability rights, build capacity, raise public awareness, and support social inclusion through education, vocational training, and employment opportunities. DP Hanoi also partners with international and local organizations to implement projects on digital literacy, gender-based violence prevention, and inclusive development, aiming to improve the quality of life and ensure equal participation of people with disabilities in society.

Organisation of Persons with Disabilities in Ninh Binh province is an organisation of persons with disabilities. It works to raise public awareness, and support social inclusion through education, vocational training, and employment opportunities.

Oxfam Vietnam has a strong focus on ethnic minorities. Its women’s rights program supports poor and marginalised women, particularly women of different social and ethnic groups, in their empowerment and participation in decision-making. It is also one of few NGOs working on LGBT rights in Vietnam

Pacific Links works throughout Vietnam and along the provinces bordering Cambodia, China and Laos. Its counter trafficking initiatives include: education and awareness raising; comprehensive reintegration support including safe housing; and partnerships from local to international level.

People’s Committees are the executive bodies of People’s Councils and state administrative agencies at the local level. In relation to human trafficking, they are responsible for implementing human trafficking prevention and combat measures within their respective jurisdictions, including integrating anti-trafficking measures into socio-economic development programmes, allocating budgets, addressing violations, and managing security and public order to prevent human trafficking.

The Criminal Police Faculty of the People’s Police Academy (PPA), under the Ministry of Public Security, contributes to the education and professional development of People’s Public Security personnel in criminal policing. The PPA’s functions include higher education and professional training, development of training programmes and teaching materials, scientific research on police professional theory and crime prevention and combating, and contribution to policy, legal and professional development in these areas. In relation to human trafficking, the Faculty’s role is primarily through professional education, training and research.

The People’s Supreme Procuracy is the highest-level procuratories authority within Viet Nam’s People’s Procuracy system. It exercises the power of prosecution and supervises judicial activities, with the mandate to protect the Constitution and the law, human and citizens’ rights, the interests of the State, and the legitimate rights and interests of organisations and individuals. The People’s Procuracy system is organised vertically at central, provincial and regional levels, with the entire system under the direction and administration of the Procurator General of the People’s Supreme Procuracy. In relation to human trafficking, the People’s Supreme Procuracy exercises prosecutorial powers and supervises judicial activities in accordance with its statutory mandate. Under the Law on Human Trafficking Prevention and Combat, the People’s Procuracy is responsible, within its functions and powers, for promptly and strictly handling violations of the law on human trafficking prevention and combat and coordinating with relevant agencies and organisations in combating human trafficking.

Relevant departments and institutions under the People’s Supreme Procuracy in relation to human trafficking include:
Department No. 2: Handles prosecution and supervision of investigation of social-order crimes, including human trafficking offences, and provides guidance to the Procuracy sector on TIP-related cases within its mandate.
Department No. 13: Responsible for international cooperation and criminal mutual legal assistance, including in cross-border human trafficking cases.
Institute of Prosecutorial Science: Conducts scientific research and knowledge-sharing on prosecutorial practice, including research and activities related to human trafficking.
Provincial People’s Procuracies: Exercise prosecutorial powers and supervise judicial activities in TIP cases within their jurisdiction.
Regional People’s Procuracies: Exercise prosecutorial powers and supervise judicial activities in TIP cases within their jurisdiction.

PLAN works to protect children especially the marginalised and excluded groups in Vietnam from all forms of violence. It implements a Girls Get Equal-funded work in Ha Giang to prevent and reduce child marriage while improving the lives of children and young women though education, health, and gender awareness.

Planète Enfants & Développement (PE&D) is a French NGO founded in 1984, working in Asia and Africa to protect children, empower women, and support vulnerable families. In Vietnam and other countries, PE&D promotes early childhood development, child protection, and women’s socio-economic inclusion through training and community development programs.

Provincial State Legal Aid Centers are public service units under provincial Departments of Justice that provide free legal aid to eligible persons, including legal advice, representation and other forms of legal aid. In relation to human trafficking, they provide free legal aid to victims of trafficking, persons who are in the process of being identified as victims

REACH provides vocational training, career advice, and job placement services for Vietnam’s most disadvantaged youth. Target group includes young women from marginalized groups such as trafficked women, and women from families living with / affected by HIV or other difficult circumstances.

SAFE project works with VWU at the provincial level to reduce the risk of child exploitation and trafficking in persons from ethnic minority communities. SAFE will train government leaders, ethnic minority village leaders, and teachers on basic knowledge of human trafficking, safe migration, victim support and referral, and skills to train others.

The People’s Courts are the judicial organs of the Socialist Republic of Viet Nam and exercise judicial power. They are responsible for adjudicating criminal, civil, administrative and other cases in accordance with the law, and for protecting justice, human rights, citizens’ rights and the legitimate rights and interests of organisations and individuals. In criminal proceedings, the People’s Courts consider the legality of evidence and procedural acts, determine criminal responsibility and decide on penalties and other judicial measures in accordance with the law.

In relation to human trafficking, the People’s Courts adjudicate trafficking-related criminal cases and determine criminal responsibility and applicable penalties and judicial measures in accordance with the law. Through adjudication, they contribute to protecting the rights and legitimate interests of victims and other participants in proceedings, ensuring the lawful application of anti-trafficking legislation and the consistent application of the law.

Relevant departments and institutions under the Supreme People’s Court:
– Office of the Supreme People’s Court: Supports the leadership of the Supreme People’s Court in administration, coordination, information management, statistics and reporting across the court system. It contributes to the collection and consolidation of court data and reports, including information relevant to criminal justice responses to human trafficking
– Department of Legal Affairs and Scientific Management: Supports the Supreme People’s Court in legal and scientific management, including research and development of legal guidance and case-law. In relation to TIP, the Department has contributed to legal analysis and the development of case-law concerning human trafficking offences.
– Provincial People’s Courts and Regional People’s Courts: Exercise judicial power and adjudicate cases, including human trafficking-related criminal cases, within their respective statutory jurisdictions.

The Consular Department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs supports trafficking in persons (TIP) victims and returning nationals through consular protection services, including victim identification and assistance.

The Criminal Police Department (C02) serves as a core law-enforcement force in preventing and combating criminal offences and provides strategic and operational advice to the Ministry of Public Security on crime prevention and investigation.

In relation to human trafficking, C02 has a dedicated division responsible for the prevention and investigation of human trafficking offences. Its functions include identifying and investigating trafficking offences, developing and implementing professional measures to prevent and combat trafficking in persons, conducting and coordinating investigations and specialised operations, and coordinating with provincial police and relevant domestic and international law-enforcement agencies. C02 also participates in the rescue and reception of trafficking victims in the course of law-enforcement operations and conducts public awareness activities on human trafficking prevention.

The Ministry of Education and Training (MOET) is responsible for state management of education and training. In relation to human trafficking prevention and combat, MOET promotes prevention through the education sector by integrating human trafficking prevention into education and training programmes, disseminating information and raising awareness among students and learners about trafficking risks, and coordinating with relevant agencies to implement prevention measures.

Training Center for Civil Servants and Public Employees (TCP) is a public training institution under the University of Labour and Social Affairs (ULSA) and the Ministry of Home Affairs of Vietnam. The Center provides training and professional development for civil servants, public employees, and other professionals, and conducts research and international cooperation activities related to public administration, labor, social affairs, employment, social insurance, occupational safety and health, gender equality, and other social policy issues. It also delivers capacity-building programs for government officials at national and local levels.

UN Women’s Strategy Note (SN) for Viet Nam 2022-2026 aims to significantly advance gender equality and the empowerment of women and girls in the country. Fully aligned with the United Nations Sustainable Development Cooperation Framework (UNSDCF) 2022-2026, the global UN Women’s Strategic Plan 2022-2025 and Viet Nam’s Socio-Economic Development Plan 2021-2030, the SN aims to support Viet Nam in achieving its national development priorities and the SDGs, in particular SDG5, so that no women or girls are left behind.

Leveraging on UN Women’s triple mandate, UN Women’s programming focuses on four thematic areas to drive results to complex and inter-connected challenges:

1. Gender and Climate Change, Humanitarian Action (HA), and Disaster Risk Reduction (DRR)
2. Women’s Economic Empowerment (WEE)
3. Ending Violence Against Women and Girls (EVAWG)
4. Women Peace and Security (WPS)

UNICEF in Viet Nam is the United Nations agency dedicated to promoting and protecting the rights and well-being of children. It works with the Government and partners to strengthen policies and systems for child protection, health, education, and social welfare, with a focus on the most vulnerable and marginalized children.

UNICEF plays a key role in preventing and responding to trafficking in persons (TIP), particularly child trafficking and exploitation, by supporting the development of child protection systems, strengthening child-friendly justice, and ensuring access to comprehensive services for child victims. It also promotes prevention through awareness-raising, capacity-building, and addressing underlying vulnerabilities such as poverty, violence, and lack of access to services.

The United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC) in Viet Nam supports the Government in preventing and combating transnational organized crime, including trafficking in persons (TIP) and migrant smuggling. It works to strengthen legal frameworks, criminal justice systems, and law enforcement capacity in line with international standards and conventions.

UNODC provides technical assistance, policy advice, and training to national counterparts to enhance investigation, prosecution, and cross-border cooperation. Its work also includes promoting international legal instruments, supporting anti-corruption efforts, and improving criminal justice responses to trafficking and other serious crimes.

Viet Nam Court Academy provides legal and judicial education and professional training for judges, court officials and other justice-sector personnel. It contributes to capacity building through training and professional development relevant to criminal adjudication, including human trafficking cases. The Academy currently provides training in criminal adjudication and other judicial skills.

Vietnam Procuratorate University (VPU) is a public higher education institution under the People’s Supreme Procuracy, responsible for higher education, professional training and scientific research in law and procuratorial practice. In relation to human trafficking, VPU contributes to capacity building and knowledge development for the procuracy sector through training, research and dissemination of knowledge on the investigation and prosecution of human trafficking cases.

VNAH supports Vietnamese with disabilities and other disadvantaged groups to regain mobility and improve their socio-economic status; to build capacity of local service providers; and to assist the Vietnamese government in development and implementation of national policies affecting people with disabilities and civil society.

The Vietnam Association of Enterprises of Disabled People (VAIDE) is a national-level organization that brings together enterprises founded or operated by war invalids, persons with disabilities, and their dependents. It serves as a collective platform for these entrepreneurs, promoting mutual support, business development, and social inclusion.

The Vietnam Chamber of Commerce and Industry (VCCI) is the national organisation representing the business community and promoting the development of enterprises and business associations in Viet Nam. In relation to human trafficking prevention and combat, VCCI can contribute by promoting responsible and sustainable business practices, raising awareness among businesses of labour exploitation and trafficking risks, and supporting the integration of labour rights and ethical employment practices into business operations and supply chains.

The Vietnam Federation on Disability (VFD) is the national umbrella organization representing approximately 50 organizations of persons with disabilities (OPDs) across the country. It serves as a collective voice for persons with disabilities, with a focus on policy advocacy, including contributions to the revision of the Law on Persons with Disabilities and the promotion of inclusive policies at both national and provincial levels.

The Vietnam General Confederation of Labour (VGCL) is the national-level organisation representing and protecting the legitimate rights and interests of workers. In relation to human trafficking prevention and combat, VGCL contributes to prevention by raising workers’ awareness of labour rights and trafficking risks, promoting safe and lawful employment and migration, and coordinating with relevant agencies and organisations to protect workers from exploitation and support access to assistance and protection.

The Vietnam Women’s Union (the Union) is a socio-political organization within the national political system, representing the legitimate rights and interests of women across all social groups. It promotes women’s development and gender equality, mobilises women and communities to implement laws and policies, and participates in policy development, social supervision and social advocacy on issues concerning women, families, children and gender equality. The Union is a member of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, the International Federation of Democratic Women, and the ASEAN Confederation of Women’s Organizations.

In relation to human trafficking, the VWU contributes to prevention and awareness-raising, policy advocacy and social monitoring, and supports coordination and community-based activities to protect and assist women and children affected by or at risk of trafficking. Under the Law on Prevention and Combat of Human Trafficking, the VWU also participates in prevention, including public awareness, victim support and activities supporting victims’ reintegration into the community.

VLA runs more than 50 legal consulting centers (LCCs) that can provide legal services to trafficked victims. The LCCs can provide assistance to not only identified victims, but also presumed victims and their families.

Implements “Brighter Path”, a program for Ethnic Minority Girls to provide hope for a brighter future and a break from the poverty cycle for ethnic minority girls in Vietnam.

WV Vietnam runs an Economic Empowerment for Ethnic Minorities in Quang Tri project that seeks to improve the economic well-being of 1,200 poor ethnic minority households over a five-year period from 2018.
