Action to Community Development Institute (ACDC)

The Action to the Community Development Center (ACDC) is a Vietnamese non-governmental organization (NGO) and organization of persons with disabilities (OPD), established in 2011 and led by and for persons with disabilities. It works in the areas of policy advocacy, accessibility, social inclusion, child protection, and the provision of free legal aid, while implementing community-based projects in several provinces. ACDC is a key actor in promoting equality and improving the quality of life for persons with disabilities and other vulnerable groups in Viet Nam.

Center for Women and Development (Peace House Shelter)

The Centre for Women and Development (CWD) is an institution directly subordinated to the Vietnam Women’s Union (VWU) with the function of serving socio-political activities and supporting the comprehensive development of capacities, occupational skills, well-being, and aesthetics for Vietnamese women. CWD is permitted to provide business and hospitality services to raise income to support disadvantaged women.

The Ministry of Health provides protection and reintegration support for a range of vulnerable individuals, including victims of trafficking. Ministry of Public Security (MPS)

MPS is the Standing Agency of the NSC on Crime Prevention and Suppression. It has the overall responsibility in leading and supervising the implementation of the National Plan on Anti-Human Trafficking. Its specific roles under the National Plan are:

Prevent, detect and investigate TIP cases, rescue and identify victims, support essential needs for victims immediately after rescue, issue certification of victim status for the rescued victims and transfer them to MOLISA’s nearest centers;

    Supreme People’s Court

    UNICEF Vietnam – Child Protection Programme

    The program establishes the Child Protection System that is aimed at preventing and responding to all child protection concerns such as child trafficking; child sexual abuse exploitation, both online and offline; and child labour.     Vietnam General Confederation of Labor (VGCL)

    VGCL is the national trade union confederation of Vietnam, representing workers through provincial and sectoral trade unions across the country.     Vietnam Women’s Academy (VWA) is a public higher education institution established under Decision 1558/QD-TTg dated October 18, 2012 of the Prime Minister.

    Inheriting the development of more than 50 years of the Central Women Cadre Training School, VWA organizes: (1) Training staff of Women’s Unions (WU) at all levels, female officials for the political system; (2) Participating in training highly qualified human resources (undergraduate, postgraduate) with high quality to meet social needs; (3) Researching from theories and summarizing from practices to advise the Executive Committee and the Presidium of Vietnam Women’s Union (VWU) in directing and organizing the work of the Union and the Women’s movements, proposing to the Party and State issues related to women, women’s work, gender equality, and researching for building the training program of VWA.
